  • Nashville Predators

    A professional ice hockey team, Nashville Predators is based in Nashville, Tennessee. The team was established in 1998 and is a member of the Central Division of the Western Conference in the National Hockey League (NHL).

    During 2003-04 NHL season, the team made their first trip to the playoffs after finishing eighth in the Western Conference. In the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the San Jose Sharks beat the Predators in five games.

    The team plays their home games at Nashville Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The team’s colors are: navy blue, silver, light blue, and gold. Barry Trotz is the current head coach of the team. The team finished its 2006-07 season with 110 points.

  • Nashville Titans
    A professional American football team, Tennessee Titans is based in Nashville, Tennessee. The team was founded in 1960. Tennessee Titans are a member of the Southern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL).

    The team was founded as Houston Oilers and also won two AFL championships before joining the NFL. In 1997, the team shifted to Tennessee from Houston and also renamed as Tennessee Oilers. In 1999, again the name of the team changed to Tennessee Titans.

    In 2000 NFL season, the Titans finished with an 13-3 record and won their third AFC Central title. The other two they won in 1991 and in 1993 before shifting to Tennessee. The Titans ended their 2006 season with 8-8 record.

    The team mascot’s name is T-Rac. Jeff Fisher is the current head coach of the team. The team’s colors are: navy, titan blue, white, and red. The Titans play their home games at LP Field, a football stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

    A minor league baseball team, Nashville Sounds is based in Nashville, Tennessee. The team was established in 1978.The team plays their home games at Herschel Greer Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

    The Sounds are an AAA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. In 2005, the Nashville Sounds won the PCL Championship. The team has won three league titles in 1979, 1982, and 2005.
